I have also a map problem. I have read back into the forum and discovered 2 threads with the advice to hit the right arrow????????
Wich arrow are we talking about???? I do not understand what this arrow is, or where it is in the screen.
On the leftside I see a vertical bar with the zooming, if I am zooming in the map gets al fuzzy…

Hi,

I am a new aprsis32 user. After installed the aprsis32, the map is not loaded. I found some new users have also the same issue. Some people luckily have previous data so they can copy them into the new installed windows. How about the first time aprsis32 user?
Some threads mentioning about GeoFabrik, it might be a solution I will be trying. Do someone have successful experience about it?

Configuring Text Port

Does any have any guides on how to properly set up a Text port. I'm not exactly sure what it's for. I'm assume you can push text packets to to ingested into the digipeater. I would like to experiment, but not sure exactly how it works. Thank you!

This site has done a good job of showing me how much the paradigm of marrying a computer to a TNC & radio has advanced since I started using UI-View.

I have a copy installed, call sign set, objects defined, all kinds of neat stuff ready for prime time except that nothing is heard over the air and the TNC isn't telling the radio to send stuff. I can send a copy of my configs, though if anyone else is using the non-plus KPC-3 successfully, I'd really appreciate hearing how your installation of APRS-IS is set up to run with it.

Frustrating!

Got the Kantronix 3+ and been trying to get all this to work. Yours is the 3rd app I have tried. I see data coming out of the TNC in the log. But I never see anything get forwarded to the APRS-IS services. Running simple Kiss. The local map does not display the received client either. Other apps would display the received devices on the screen (this does not) but none of them have wanted to forward to -IS. Total Noob here with this system. Anyone have any ideas how to correct this?

Auto Start with Wine

I'm running APREIS32 on a Linux computer through Wine. It's been running great.

The other day at work I had a power failure My computer will automatically power pack on and the main profile logs on automatically. I just can figure out for to run a APREIS32 as a Wine app on login in. Any ideas?

Delay of transmission to IS

In my area I have another digipeater nearby but I don't believe it is also an I-Gate. When I transmit my beacon ( KF0KFL-1 ) and weather station ( KF0KFL-13) . If possible, I would like to delay my IS transmission by maybe 30 seconds or so to see if it will be gated by another station. I don't want to completely disable my outputs to IS because my transmissions don't always get picked up and digipeated and gated.

Howdy everyone. My station has lost the map details in the original tileset. It is still plotting stations correctly, there are just no map details. Anybody know why this is happening and what I need to do to remedy it?

Font Colors on Messages boxes

Some of the more dull colors, YELLOW for example, are totally illegible in my old eyes. I searched through what I believe was all the drop-down's and never found a way to change the colors.

APRSISCE radio interface problems

Greetings:

I am trying to interface an FTM100dr to the APRSISCE program via DigiRig.
I setup the serial com-port in APRSISCE for the FTM100dr
When I (enable) the FTM100dr port the radio goes into transmit mode immediately and stays locked up.
In the com port setup, I chose Simple Kiss mode. The com port setup does not seem to have an RTS/CTS or PTT controls?
There is no drop down menu for the FTM100dr so i chose Simple Kiss mode.
Has anyone tried a similar setup?
Does anyone have any tips of suggestions for this problem?

Trouble Installing APRSIS

I am new to the APRSIS program so I am sure that there's something I am doing wrong here. When I enter my information, the program turns into a half inch tall white box across my screen. It looks like maybe it's a narrow slice out of the program screen. Nothing I do can make it change. I have to stop the program in task manager to get it to stop.

What am I doing wrong?

Wanting a Windows APRS client software to xmit/rcv and message APRS with my FT8900 and DigiRig. The radio and DigiRig works fine with Winlink and UZ7HO. I'm not reciving RF stations and when enabled it keeps the radio keyed. Also can't xmit. The DigiRig uses Silicon Labs CP210x USB to UART Bridge driver.

GPX Overlay Import

I am using APRSIS32 to help manage SAG units on several simultaneous bike rides. I can import the GPX file from the ride organizer and the routes show up fine. I can change the appearance of each route. But the mileage markers and other icons in the original file do not show up. Is there any solution to this?

Hello, I’m building a man-portable setup for emcomm, ares, races, etc. I’m using a Toughpad with cellular connectivity with a Harris XG100M. I need to be able to bidirectional igate when cellular is connected and fill-in digipeat when I’m not connected. Is there a way to accomplish this? Any help would be most welcomed!

I'm having issues trying to get a passcode. When I try to request a passcode, it tries to open an email window for an email program that I don't use and then asks me to enable two-factor authentication. I cannot find the email address on the site.

It is possible to enable the TNC when enabling the port, rather than turning on the TNC manually before connecting with APRSIS32. Not all of the commands seem to elicit a response/change on the radio. Tested on TH-D7A(G) using codes from:

I have been runing Aprsis32 for a while now and I am sure when monitoring both RF and IS that at the top of the screen it used to alternate APRS-IS OK and tiny2(which is the port name) OK but there was a a update the other day and what I get now is:APRS-IS OK and Tiny2 OpenCmd.

Hi I'm getting a non-ham user with callsign NOCALL-7 in APRSIS32 and is being digipeated.
I tried -b/NOCALL* -d/NOCALL* as I understand it, APRSIS32 should block and not digipeat ANY packets that is coming from this callsign.
But it seems it is still being digipeated.
Any ideas? Thanks!

Call Sign with no SSID for command

I have to use the chat message system to transmit commands to a remote station. But the station will not accept a call sign with the SSID attached. I have done it before but I forget how I did it using the chat message system. If I use the chat message now it will automatically add the SSID of my station.

So 1st I'm new at this but have spent days now it works on rf. Exactly what files scripts do I add to xml to make digipeater? I live in Tucson AZ. Also my Aprs droid app works great I see all ham incl. K7oi-9 k7oi-8 and -7 however no show on laptop except other hams and k7oi-8(home). Any help?

AORSIS32 Shutting Down

I am using APRSISCE/32 as an iGate with my FTM-400. When in I go into my shop, it is usually shut down and I have to restart it. My computer and display are still on. The only program that is down is the APRSISCE/32.

Using Windows 20.

IS to RF not working

I am using APRSIS32, FT2DR, an Arrow II Yagi 20 feet up, and TNC3 by Mobilinkd. Everything appears to be working except IS to RF, via the log it shows a ton of RF to IS being gated, and the radio has also transmitted when functioning as a digi repeater as well as my beacons so it isn't a hardware issue. Xmit is checked, Internet and aprs-is is enabled. RF to IS and IS to RF is also checked.

After a few days it has yet to RF a single item from the IS side. I would love to run a 2 way i gate as we have plenty of rx only in the area already.

I have also tested it myself with a HT on less than one watt of power, I get gated, but no acknowledgement and my own setup wont tx messages to me.

Any help would be appreciated!

I am new to this APRSIS stuff. I am on a ridge Line with no neighbors in site. There are two stacked m2 loop at about 40 feet AGL that need a job here.
So I have the program running; the Map is filling up with station. Some are RF as I am using my EME and Sat radios and a couple of "Dongles" too, to feed "Ports" from UISS, AGWPE into your nifty APRSIS program.

Now I need a really decent APRS, or whatever it's called, rig so I can unburden the other two systems, and their SPID rotators …. bit of an overkill.

What do you guys see as a decent rig that my Windoze-10 system can work with here?

I have not been on this site for a long time.
I am a long time user of APRSIS32. In the past I used Winlink and very much miss the direct messaging, station to station. In an emergency system on a simplex frequency, it would be much faster to direct message a station. As in any emergency situation, time is of the essence. Is there any plans to implement this protocol? Thank you everyone.

APRSISCE not transmitting through TNC on a TH-D74.

I am a totally new user here on APRSISCE and have it up and running for the first time. It seems to be working fine, I see local APRS stations on the map, but all of this appears to be coming in through the internet. I did go through the setup to connect a Kenwood TH-D74 over BT to aprsisce, and have that connecting fine and shows up in the program as an enabled port. I checked all the various settings in the program to make sure everything is enabled and that seems correct. So I am sort of stumped here. What is the purpose of having a TNC if the software is set up to run over the internet? Is the TNC just for cases where you don't have internet access? Can someone clarify that for me? Is there a way to force it to use the TNC and not the internet then?

Okay well I found the problem and it had nothing to do with the SW I didn't have the KISS mode set on the HT so now it is working. I don't have much of a signal here so not sure if my packets are being heard, is there a way to confirm that I am reaching a digipeater?

I have been away from APRSIS32 for a while. We have just started re-building our APRS network here in central Western Arkansas and Eastern Oklahoma. W5ANR-9 is back on the air digipeating from Cavanal Hill near Poteau, Oklahoma. I need to get APRSIS32 back up and running on my computer so I can monitor the network. I installed the new version this afternoon but noticed that it does not "play fair" with Windows10 on installation. No desktop icon and it does not show up in my Apps list. Is it possible to correct this?

Internet Feed for APRS Plots All Over the Country

I'm looking for the feature in the software that allows me to go back and see the telemetry information of an individual track, specifically the distance of a track from start point to end. I've been able to find how to load old tracks, the decay and the likes but where do I find how to see the distance traveled.

I'd like to be able to be able to check the telemetry information at the individual points along the track as well as be able to see specifically the Distance traveled; being able to see the start and end time as well as the travel time would be even more convenient.

Where have I not looked? what am I not seeing?

Digipeating internet to rf Igate ?

Howdy from Bill K7MT in Helena.

I presently have a VFH 144.390 Igate K7MT, HF 300 Baud Packet K7MT-11, PSK-63 K7MT-63, and Robust Packet K7MT-11 10147.3.

Can I digipeat internet to local RF VHF Igate K7MT-63, K7MT-11, K7MT-8 ??? HF stations are beaconed once and hour and WX to HF Packet only every 15 minutes.

I run 3 copies of APRSISCE 32 (VHF, HF 300 baud packet, Robust Packet) and APRS Messenger for the PSK-63.

I would like to capture the three HF stations off the internet and beacon out 1 or 2 hops on the local VHF RF..

After working to rebuild my balloon tracking computer after a catastrophic crash, I was unable to get the program to recognize the GPS data passed through by my D710. I've spent hours and was beginning to doubt my sanity (a topic for another thread). ;-) I knew it had worked previously and I remember it was very easy to set up. Try as I might, it just wouldn't work. My backups showed I was running the last production version but I could swear that I as running the development version because I run it everywhere else. Finally I gave in and switched to the production and the feature sprang to life.

My question is whether this capability exists in the development version or not.

Not showing moving stations with internet only / no RF

I have an implementation of APRSIS32 setup and running but do not yet have the radio connection setup. I don't seem to be receiving moving stations through the APRSIS network. I've dug all through the menu's but can't find anything else that I've missed.

So my question is this, should I be able to see moving stations near me, or where I have the map centered, if I'm currently only receiving/sending data through the internet and not RF?

Help Kenwood D710G not working with PG-5H cable

I have now spent hours on hours trying to get the GPS and APRS data from the control head of the Kenwood D710G to work. I am using the Kenwood PG-5H lead from the head directly into the serial port of my Panasonic Tough book. No matter what I do I cannot get the Program to receive any data through the lead. The lead works perfectly on the data outlets on the main body of the radio and I can read and write to the radio to and from the Panasonic laptop.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what I may be doing wrong ? I thought that using the PG-5H lead directly into the laptop was going to be an easy Solution to getting all the APRS data into the software. I have a Raynet event in a few weeks and I would like to track all the other operators on my laptop using Kenwood D710G as well as showing my position on the map.
